You can apply for a new Fixed Term Deposit Account if you are an existing Triodos Bank UK business customer that meets our eligibility criteria.

Your organisation has an existing open and operational business account with Triodos Bank UK. This includes business savings accounts, business current accounts and business loans.
You want to apply for a new business savings account for the same organisation and the activities conducted by your organisation have not changed.
Your organisational details are not different to the details we already hold for your existing account.
The people connected to the organisation and existing account have not changed. This means names, addresses and contact details are the same. If this is not the case, please arrange to update these details on your existing account before applying. Find out how to update your details.

Our standard business accounts eligibility criteria remains applicable to all existing customers applying for a new account. It lists the non-sustainable products, services and working practices that would exclude an organisation from banking with us.

We will be able to accept your application if:
- Your organisation has an existing open and operational business account with Triodos Bank UK. This includes business savings accounts, business current accounts and business loans.
- You want to apply for a new business savings account for the same organisation and the activities conducted by your organisation have not changed.
- Your organisational details are not different to the details we already hold for your existing account.
- The people connected to the organisation and existing account have not changed. This means names, addresses and contact details are the same. If this is not the case, please arrange to update these details on your existing account before applying.

If we have an account that is right for you, and you meet our current eligibility criteria, then please give us a call on 0330 355 0355. Our team will need to ask you a few questions to confirm that everything matches the details we hold on your existing account.

Here are the key features of the Triodos Fixed Term Deposit account.

What is the interest rate?

Term	6 months	12 months
Rate	3.80% gross/ AER*	4.00% gross/ AER*

Interest is calculated daily and paid annually and on maturity.

Can Triodos Bank change the interest rate?

No – the interest rate is fixed when the account is opened and we have received your full opening deposit.

Rates may change between the time the application is made and the time the account is opened and full opening deposit received.

What would the estimated balance be on maturity based on a £10,000 deposit?

Term	6 months	12 months
Balance	£10,189.48	£10,400.00

This estimate is based on £10,000 being deposited at account opening, no further deposits or withdrawals being made and interest being added to the account annually and at maturity. This projection is for illustrative purposes only and does not take into account your business’ circumstances.

How do I open and manage my account?

The account can only be applied for online. Before you apply you will need to call us so we can find out more about your organisation and discuss if banking with Triodos Bank is suitable.
No further deposits are allowed after the full opening deposit is received.
The maximum balance is £5,000,000.

Can I withdraw my money?

No early closure or withdrawals are allowed.

Additional information

A minimum of 30 calendar days before the fixed maturity date we will contact you to inform you of your options. At maturity the Account will automatically be changed to an Easy Access Business and Charity Deposit Account, unless you advise us to do something differently.

*The gross rate is the rate payable without any tax taken off. Credit interest on all our accounts is paid gross.
