Moor Pool is a small ‘garden city' area of Birmingham built in early 1900's inspired and funded by a Quaker called John Nettleford. Nettleford wanted to develop a healthy neighbourhood in Birmingham; it's an area of 500 houses in an area of Birmingham called Harborne no more than 2 miles for the city centre. Their ambition is to convert the main builders yard building into a community hub – called the Nettleford Ecology Centre, which will facilitate the local primary schools and community use.
