Yes you are able to transfer your Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA to another provider and can do this by completing a transfer request form with the other provider. Transferring a Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA to another provider can only be done in whole, not in part. Transferring the account before the fixed term ends will incur a charge equivalent to:

2 year term – 180 days interest

3 year term – 270 days interest

The charge will be taken from the account balance, so you may get back less than originally deposited. No charges will be taken for accounts transferred at the end of the term.

If you arrange a transfer between ISAs by completing a transfer form, your tax-free ISA status will remain protected and the transfer will not affect your ISA allowance for the current tax year.

Don’t withdraw the money out of an ISA yourself or move it to a personal bank account. If you do this, your money will lose its ISA status. This means that you can’t reinstate it and you’ll permanently lose that portion of your ISA allowance. If you choose to re-add money that you’ve withdrawn from an ISA, you’ll use up a portion of an ISA allowance, unless you have a flexible ISA.

The notice period has been removed from Triodos Cash ISA, Triodos Saver and Triodos Charity Saver.  As a result these are now instant access accounts and no early access penalties will be applied.

For Fixed Rate ISAs withdrawals are not allowed until maturity. The only exception to this is if you close the account and/or transfer the full balance to another ISA.  Early closure will result in an early access charge being applied equivalent to a number of days of interest.

Yes. We will write to you one month before your fixed rate cash ISA matures, asking you to let us know what you'd like to do with your funds. You can then ask us to change your fixed rate cash ISA into another Triodos cash ISA, when it matures.

Alternatively, during the fixed term of your Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA, you can request to change your Fixed Rate Cash ISA into another Triodos cash ISA, but you will incur a 'breakage charge' as per the terms and conditions. The ‘breakage charge’ is equivalent to:

• 2 year term – 180 days' interest
• 3 year term – 270 days' interest

The charge will be taken from the account balance, so the balance in your new type of Triodos cash ISA might be less than originally deposited in your Fixed Rate Cash ISA.

There is no charge when changing to a different type of Triodos cash ISA on maturity.

By completing an application for any of our Personal Savings accounts online you are automatically registered for Internet Banking and can manage your account online.

If your application was made by post, then Internet Banking access is available for the following Personal Savings accounts:

• Triodos Fixed Regular Saver
• Triodos Charity Saver

You can also access Triodos Right Start Saver and Junior ISA accounts online, but you can't make payments from these accounts.

We will write to you one month before your Fixed Rate Cash ISA matures, asking you to let us know what you'd like to do with your funds. If we don’t hear from you, the account will automatically mature and change into an Online Cash ISA, keeping the same account number as your Fixed Rate Cash ISA.

You will then be able to keep the funds in this account, transfer the funds to another ISA (using a transfer form to retain the ISA status of the funds) or transfer the funds to your nominated account. If you want to make further deposits into the new Online Cash ISA account, you will need to complete an ISA declaration form.

Once you have opened your Triodos Fixed Rate Cash ISA, you have 60 days in which to deposit as much of your ISA allowance as you want to. If you do not deposit your full allowance in your Fixed Rate Cash ISA you can invest the remainder in any combination of the rest of the permitted ISA types with Triodos or other providers.

Transferring existing investments or ISAs from another provider usually takes between 14-30 days, but it can take longer than this. Delays can be caused if there’s an issue with the application form or the existing ISA provider doesn’t have your up-to-date information. It will also take longer if there’s a notice period on the account.

To make sure your transfer goes as smoothly as possible, we would recommend checking with your existing provider that all your information (for example, contact details and address) is up-to-date and that you don’t owe any outstanding fees. Also make sure that you’ve completed the transfer form correctly and signed it using a pen (rather than electronically).

You’ll also need to make sure that your information with Triodos is correct and that you’ve already applied to open the account you wish to transfer into. If you don’t, you can open an account via the Triodos Mobile App. 

If you attempt to pay into your Triodos Fixed Rate ISA after your 60 days the deposit will be automatically rejected. We will send the funds back to the account they came from.

Yes, it is possible to transfer between ISAs of different types. You can either transfer an existing Triodos ISA into an ISA of a different type (for example, a Triodos Cash ISA into a Triodos Stocks and Shares ISA) or transfer an ISA from another provider into a Triodos ISA of a different type.

Be aware, if transferring from a Stocks and Shares ISA, your investments will be sold. The transfer process usually takes between 14-30 days. We’ll write to you when the transfer is complete.

If you don't already have the Triodos ISA you wish to transfer into, you will need to open one first. You can do this via the Triodos Mobile Banking App.

To request the transfer, you’ll need to download and complete the relevant form below. The forms are interactive so you can fill out your details online, but you’ll need to print the form and sign it using a pen.

Then simply return it to ‘Freepost TRIODOS BANK’ and we’ll transfer your money directly between your ISAs and protect your tax-free ISA status. Do not move your money out of an ISA yourself, because your money will lose this ISA status.

You can transfer all or part of an ISA from one type to another or between providers by indicating how much you would like to transfer on the relevant transfer form.

You can select whether you want to transfer:

• the entire ISA
• the current tax year’s ISA subscriptions in whole, or part
• previous tax years, ISA subscriptions in whole or part

If you are transferring part of a Stocks and Shares ISA, and your subscriptions are invested in more than one share class, please specify the name of the share class(es) from which you would like to sell the shares.

There is no charge to move an account from another provider to Triodos, but you should check with your current provider whether there are exit fees or loss of benefits by transferring.
